New Autoaim question
What happens to autoaim when weapons with different autoaim classifications are (all) bound to the primary? Does it screw up autoaim completely?
i think it just takes the first weapon
The reticle for the first weapon listed in the primary fire group is the reticle that is used for autoaim, however each weapon will still use its own autoaim regardless of whether its reticle is used or not.
Thats something I always wondered about, why dont they just put another reticle in there for each weapon, maybe label em or make them differernt colors. I use multiple weapon layouts sometimes and it can be rough to figure out the aim when they are quite different types of weapons
Autoaim is already screwed up anyway
yeah tram, that's something I've wanted for ages.
That's why I don't generally use weps with different speeds, sure you get spray, but then its all luck.
Having 2 autoaim reticles... omg... (drools)

Learning to switch auto aim off FTW, its bugged anyways, so until they sort out auto aim, then there is no need for more reticles, just learn to ignore the one you have :P
I once played with a bind that automatically cycled through several groups. When the groups each had a weapon of differing velocity attached to primary, it displayed multiple ghosted reticles. It was kind of neat, and I had planed on expanding on it, but never got around to it.
Thanks guys.
I must add that I've been playing different fps games for years. (approx 15yrs) and I have never had this much trouble aiming. But with every bit of information you all share, it begins to make this game more enjoyable. Thanks again.

I also have quite a bit of trouble while aiming. To compensate, I use a cocktail of different macros. The most valuable are these two, the former rapidly cycling between weapon groups, (only two) as Roda described, and the latter using the same technique applied to toggling the autoaim on/off. It also has a function that temporarily toggles the autoaim setting, while held down.
Once the addon is finished, Pirate's Toolkit will enable multiple autoaim reticles(different colors, with the icon if the item in that port in the lower-right corner of that reticle). This will be in the update fully compatible with lua 5.1 released, latest, in a few hours.
Edit: Done, but it seems it's not possible to position the icons the way I want to, and it can't spit out an ammo readout.
