Yay, locutus est.
"I'm KOS Itani. I just want a place to blockade without a constant sf after me."
Hahahahahah, oh that's a good joke. You want to kill Itani, but you don't want the Itani nation to attack you.

Oh noes!!!1! The game will be more newbie-friendly! Could someone please think of the poor pirate veterans?
Yes, how dare the Devs ruin the fun of pirates! My, expect many a strong worded letter you!
I for one thank you for the changes. I rare go to Metana anymore (except for the Deneb Run). I was unaware that it wasn';t monitored. I do go to Verasi to trade at times but i'm never noticed that it was unmonitored.
What ever arguments pirates/serco want to use, you are wrong. Nation space should, and hopefully always will be monitored. Itani space might be the biggest but lets assume we have enough nough people/ships/bots to defend ourselves. How else whould we have held on to theat territory for so long. Yes Verasi dosn't have any UIT staions. So what its still UIT space. You can assume that the factions there volunter people/ships/bots to help defend UIT space.
So what ever your problems with the change it comes down to one thing: "Nation space should be monitored. Always. Everywhere."

I wonder what the reaction would have been from the Serco players if one of their systems had been one of the broken systems that got fixed?
I suspect there'd have been lots of praise.
And if one of their systems suddenly went unmonitored?
I suspect there'd be lots of whining.

Bess, Verasi C-2 has been a pirate stronghold for AGES. Don't you remember "0"/Thessadri attacking every ship that went through there for MONTHS?
And the old Dr. Lecter and various unrelated SCAR pilots would hang out in Metana seems like forever.
I think fixing these "mistakes" was a good move, but just like anything that sits "unfixed" for a while, folks tend to get used to it. Yanking it out from under them tends to rile tempers.
Next: Fix Corvus so you get faction hits if you L-Mine their stations. Allow Corvus to go below -599 so you can't dock if you do it enough.

It's not the entire Serco nation complaining - just a few individuals.
Not all pirates are whining either, nor did I whine when they *fixed* Azek J-1 when that was accidentally made unmonitored. Strikeforces suck, and if you cant avoid a strikeforce while taking out some trader/newb/meat of desired flavour then you should not be a pirate! :P
Haha, Azek J-1.
Psst, Leber, Thesaadri used to camp Verasi recently, until I stopped playing him.
Incarnate: Sounds like the new faction system is going to be better than I thought. Keep up the good work~

Thank you, Whistler.
Ya know whats more worrysome? the fact that the devs rely on our feedback, cos they dont even have the time to pop on, and play the damn game much, and we are all getting pissy about small things, it aint a crime to take a break and come back later you know...
are there any other unmonitored nation WH left?
There shouldn't be, no.
But I suggested making Edras B11 and/or I2 unmonitored.. so far there has been a resounding silence on that.

Move "Edras Crossroads" (Edras B11) to Verasi O7 (and change its name).
Remove "Eo's Welcome" (Edras I2).
Eventually, move a Verasi corp station in the Edras rodifields, to rebalance station population a bit.
Remove "Helios Outpost" (Helios B7).
Remove "Caelestis Watch" (Ukari L2). Or move it to Azek I16.
This way, no greyspace wormhole will be monitored, while all nationspace border wormholes will be monitored.
I'd like such a setup. Would make sense. Gray = unmonitored, colored = monitored.

Inc I think Edras B-11 being unmonitored would be cool, both would be even cooler, that would make traders that have to go from Uit-land to Itani-land have to cross a dangerous area, similar to Uit that want to go to Serco land :) Along that train of thought poofing the Uit station in Ukari back inside would accomplish the same thing, give a bit of danger while still keeping nation space relatively safe for the new players.
As long as everyone else is reluctant to take Incarnate's direction and post related suggestions to the Suggestion forum, I've started one here and lock this as the question was asked and answered.
Incarnate is obviously looking for input before he gets too far into FF so, suggest away.
