I had today another interesting encounter with TradeShip1 and TradeShip2. They invaded S4 and killed noobs, so I helped TradeShip2 out of his missery. However, I am not really a big fighter (more a peaceful trader, really), thus after chasing them to S7 I switched to a bus. TradeShip1 stills ows me 10k in cargo and ships, I offered him to let him go if he pays me or to bus him to death. Well, he choose the latter. And thats what we did for the next 20 minutes or so. They both kept firing missiles at me, and a 3rd red joined in the fun. For me it were just freeby busses, for them every hit and rocket cost money. And, what they didn't realize is that my office mate used the 20 minutes to make a couple of runs from 14 to 15. As all pirates of the world were busy beating me up, he was totally unchallenged and made 500k, from which he transfered 250k to me. Lesson learned: next time you see a pirate, get out your bus. He will kill you. And he will loose money doing so. In rockets and lost revenue. And the rest of us peaceful traders will be thankful because you keep a pirate busy while we make a buck or two.

If they start boasting about how many pk's they have, just tell them if that is difficult if you shoot busses :D

This is what happened from my point of view:

I was in a middle of a Centurion duel with Eldrad. While dueling i noticed someone else shooting me .... it was you ... you had a Vulture and you spamed seeker all around me , non of them hit. Eldrad asked you to stop and you got back into the staion after i hit you with few tachyon shots. Then me and Eldrad restarted our duel, and you came again with a vulture. i started fighting you, chased you back into the station, i think Eldrad wanted to kill you more than i did.. he got mad because he told you we were dueling and you wouldn't stop.

Anyway, you told me i owe you money .. and how you're going to hunt me now , after i managed to get up from the floor(was ROFLing real hard), i told Eldrad that we have to postpone our duel and i have to kill you few times before we can duel again. Only then you started coming out with your silly busses and yes, i killed you in a bus. it was very good for my PK :D ..

while dueling with Eldrad i'm usually unable to pirate so if you had some brains you could join your office mates and trade and get a mil instead of 250k

Well since most pirates/griefers are just after pks anyway....you're playing right into their hands. Just run. Its near impossible to catch/kill someone who refuses to engage you.

And TradeShip2, too. But stop talking about it or the Forum Moderator will lock THIS thread too. Anyhow, I like your strategy against pirates. :)

Forum moderator is right, I removed the posting. Lets try to be a little bit more constructive here. The forum exists to discuss what we can change in the gameplay to help the problem. I think there should be a negative bounty (how about -50,000) on unmodified freeby busses. When a player hits anything else than a bot with the laser, the bounty goes back to normal 40. This should disencourage pirates to bother noobs.

But... congrats andreas! Another excellent tactic for evading / taking on pirates.. You're an credit to your nation.

It's nice to see players coming up with decent counter attacks against pirates instead of bitching.
