The IBG is one of the top fighters ships, and is available at very low levels (compared to anything the serco or uit can get). This gives itani an early lead in botting.
Last I checked, N3 and heavy power cell are combat level 3. This makes a IBG deadly at only level 3. This is an early lead in pvp.
The border patrol is closer to itani stations than the serco station, giving the itani a good chance to consolidate forces in the sector.
no one travels across itani space to get to somewhere else. this makes trading and mining in itani space very safe.
A noob can do well with serco or uit, especially as both of these have better access to corvus. but at a much higher risk.
For a veteran, these differences are minimal. A little extra botting for a better ship, etc..., a vet is good to go in short order. But a noob is still facing the learning curve, and these little things add up.
If you for one second argue that itani does not have an advantage for noobs, then I expect that you have a serco character in action in deneb. otherwise, keep your untested theories to yourself. I don't really care to hear the opinion on nation differences from players that have only played one nationality.
If your even half good, then get a serco char in action in deneb.

I won't argue that newbs have an easier time in the beginning as Itani, but at higher levels a newb will have a field day in a prom. Newb in a prom will easily beat a newb in an IBG or a valk.
Yes, it takes a while to get there, but having high levels doesn't make you experienced. We all know how quickly these levels can be gained. There's still plenty of high lvl newbs.

I still think the vult should be lowered a level or two. For the shake of balance.
N3 is combat 4. The Vulk has higher licenses than the Centurion. Would it make sense to earn the SVG before the Vulk IV? If anything, there should be a mission attached to buying either of these ships, like for the TPG Raptor, or X-1.
What is a "Vulk"? :P
Its like a valk, but with wings.
I actually see all these people trying to stretch an argument :D.
Cunjo has apparently seen "n00b with diamond dodge bind" kill a agt-flare prom jock, which would be quite a sight, because I believe the only thing a prom need to do in that case is point his ship at the "diamond dodging IBG" and fire his flares. He does not even have to fire the AGT (though it'll make it prettier).
I've flown IBGs before they were the "trend". I flown em when they were peaked at 55 m/s cruise and 70/s drain (remember those? I bet not), when all the Itanis are still flying Valks. I still remember convincing, Ghost, then Sputnik, that the IBG is much better dogfighter than the Valk.
So yeah, I like the IBG. And it's better than the valk, but since a few nerfings (particularly the increased size), it's much less dangerous now. The problem with the Cents in general, is that it is way too fast, and wobble around. I don't think a n00b unless s/he has super reflexes, can make use of its uber speed.
Also, the cents are so fast, people tend to over compensate, and flops around exposing its silhouette more.
The SVG with N3s on the other hand, is not much slower than Vult, and turns more gracefully (and thus expose less silhouette). In a fighter vs fighter dogfight, the SVG with dual gauss, I believe, is even more deadlier than the IBG.
Besides, all these "leveling" talk, we all know, is BS. Since we all know it does not mean a thing.
My point is of course, that the talk about IBG being Itani's supern00b weapon is all BS. We all know leveling is a brreeze in this game, and once the n00b gets his/her hand on the prom/agt/flares, it's all over for our "n00b with diamond dodge IBGs".

Hold it. We have all listed reasons why we think all the noobs are picking Itani, and we all understand that, regardless of the real reasons, noobs are picking to mostly be Itani. And all your doing is arguing about whether the noobs should really be picking Itani. This is a moot point. Wether the noobs should be picking Itani or not, they are picking Itani. You can spend all day trying to change the noobs, but they are noobs, and they are going to do whatever it is that noobs do. I, on the other hand, am trying to change the vets. If we know that all the noobs are going to pick Itani, then let us (the vets) provide suitable targets for all these incoming noobs. This means playing Serco characters at bp. Now, I understand that many noobs don't read the forums, and they do whatever they do, with limited information at hand. But what is your excuse? Your just stubborn?
Digg It! - Breaking the 1st and 2nd Rules of VO >>> IBG,to easy for noobs to get
How did we get here?
It is the way it is... short sighted yes but my opinion anyway.
I guess this whole Digg thing might hurt or might help VO.
