Team fighting the frigate
I haven't had a chance to play in a while, but prior to a few weeks ago I kept trying to get a small team of four or five players together to fight the Frigate as a team. I wanted to see how it could hold up against a coordinated attack with different ships.
Specifically, if three fighters could harass the bots and turrets enough to allow two fully loaded Ragnoraks to strike, I think that the Frigate could be taken down very easily. (2 Rag's equipped with sunflares and avalons can dish out 336,000 damage)
However, I never managed to recruit enough people to test this theory. I don't get to play a lot, so I wanted to ask if maybe someone else out there has tried this. If so, how did it work?
PS - How many HP does the frigate have?
PPS - I generally got turned down when trying to recruit because "it wasn't worth the risk"... maybe the reward for taking down the frigate should be better?

The frigate goes down very quickly to a large group of players with or without teamwork. I don't know the exact number of hull points that the frigate has, but it is somewhere around 700,000.
If that's the case, then four loaded heavy bombers could take it down in one run...
Add some fighter wing-men to protect the bombers (and to administer the coup-de-grace with energy weapons in case the frigate lives through all of the bombs)...
I want to try this! I will try to organize this (again) the next time I am online...

What the problem is is the scoring. You can dump 51 nukes into the frigate, but it's the person that hits it the 52nd time that gets the kill. This annoys me. Firstly, the bounty is really low anyhow, but a more important thing is the way scoring is decided. If we're gonna capkill, you need to institute scoring from one kill to multiple players. If me and my friend each dump 26 nukes into a cap ship, we should both get an equal score increase.
Well, assuming that 'score' is something that is going to stick around for 4.0 or 5.0 or whatever.
You think that score is going to be dropped from the feature set? That'd be a pretty big departure from the current dev strategy as I see it from my spot here.
Bah! A single fighter can take out the frigate, Heck I can do it in a bus! just get right up next to the hull and either take off the turrets or shoot the frig itself!, the bots dont bother you if you stay close enough! Just remember to come at the turrets from the side, not above.

Well, I just figured that was understood, but maybe I can't see the future game as well as you can. From my position, the more Vendetta morphs from a FPS and the more it becomes an RPG the less 'score' becomes relevant as any sort of measurement. I mean, what is score measuring now but time spent online fishing for 250 and 350 bots with nukes? You yourself point out lots of inconsistancies, complexities, and difficulties that will develop with regards to a scoring system as the game develops. I'm sure if you think about it, you can think of alot more. If 'score' is retained it is likely to be morphed into some sort of experience system, and the way you recieve 'score' is likely to change drastically.
Far more important to an RPG though is the completion of various 'mission flags' allowing you to advance in rank. Even experience is something of a general mission flag - pass X experience gain Y rank.
