Did you email John? That is the appropriate action for you to take, and you could provide all the information you like to him.

I can't see the logs, so I would be acting on information I cannot verify. I can verify that at this moment all is quiet (except for a discussion of kitty abuse). John can see the logs and verify what has transpired. Don't post the logs, as those are easily edited.

I AM suppressing the discussion and do not wish to further it. This is something that can be resolved by the devs, not by a discussion in the forums. I have not ignored it, but have mitigated the flameage, directed you to the appropriate course of action, and have left a message for the devs.

Please, honor my attempts to keep the peace here. I did politely ask that people refrain from posting further. I have years of experience with this sort of thing here and I know that nothing constructive will come of it. I am prepared to delete threads and mute accounts if it doesn't cease.

Thanks for emailing him. The sever logs show much more information than what you see in the chat logs you save to your computer.

Yes, Whistler is right, I'm no guide, but I've been here long enough to see tons of threads like yours degrade into flame fests that just become CHUD food. You might not always agree with him, but he is trying to help.

Whistler was doing the right thing, public flogging of these issues never helps anything. If people email me the details on what happens, I can verify with the server logs. It's not about suppressing anything, it's about dealing with a problem as quickly and effectively as possible, with minimum headache to everyone involved.
