Vendetta is full of lame players, who really loves to tease others to they log off.
Example:

I had two goldies and a blue guy chasing me through the galaxt today.
As most people would, I docked and awaited backup, as the three players I'm talking about are all very skilled.
So I docked, and one of goldies (teh master of the lamers in Vendetta, in my oppinion) begins teasing me... (argh):
"Coward! Hah! You docked!".
It would have been OK if he just said it once, but he kept teasing me.
"Hah! You're such a coward! Lamer!" and so on.

What's his ******* problem?
He would probably have done the very same thing himself!
3 vs 1 = Mister lucky one's DEATH!

Players like this really ruin the fun in playing Vendetta.

Grim. as I stated in various posts - it's just a matter of ego. If I know that enemies are camping outside the station, I stay docked - and watch TV, or do something else :-)

Don't let yourself be taunted - this is the sensible thing to do, it's also compatbile with role-playing:

Imagine that you are at the station and a gang of bullies are waiting to kill you outside - do you really think that someone in his right mind would chose certain death?

I agree with all of the above.

Although someone running and than docking is very frustrating for the chaser there's no way they should be harramged for it afterwards. Maybe one comment about it is OK, but to camp outside with 3 to 1 odds is a bit sad.

Saying that, it has happened to me on more than one occasion so I either go do something else for a while or try and annoy them by popping out, running around a bit and then re-docking. I can even sometimes get a few kills out of it which seems to enrage the campers even more. Can't think why???

another thing to do is to call for back up in the team chat...

make it unfair for them...
if they have 3 then call for 4 players of your team at list....

Very much depends on the players... 3 Aces working together could cause some serious havoc...

usualy if you call for back up...you dont call for the newbies...you call for the aces of your team.

if you are the top ace and you cant stand them then you can only log off for like 10 minutes...and if they saw that you logged of (i dont know if there is still the log of alert) they will give up thinking "he wont be comming back any time soon...now use to wait for him..."

The first time a player engages in that sort of behavior, whether targeted at me or not, they go into my /ignore list.

Currently, virtually the whole gold team (with the notable exception of Blaster) is on the /ignore list. I even have three or four teammates on the /ignore list.

If everyone did that, the lamers would be driven from the community. Nothing hurts a lamer more than the idea that noone is paying the slightest bit of attention to them.

We will always have lamers, but the difference between a community dominated by that behavior and one not troubled by it is how much encouragement they recieve. The best way to encourage a lamer is get into an arguement with them. Then they are the center of attention and that makes thier little prepubescent body shake with excitement.

well, im saying that getting made fun of is a problem, but what ship were you flying? A prommie? Because i kno for a fact that some people, im going to leave unamed really really really hate prommie users. so, if u were in a prommie thats prolly why.

Considering your background as a griefer, I feel no sympathy for you, Grim. Anyway, I'm glad that an Itani pilot helped out in the chase with the two Neutrals. If you don't like being chased, don't attack newbies or fire at someone unprovoked. You're just asking for trouble if you do so. And yes, believe it or not people make friends in Vendetta. And most often when their buddies are in trouble or want to hunt someone down, they'll probably join in whether it's fair or not. You can choose to behave in a friendly manner that doesn't involve unprovoked attacks or newbie killing. It's only until you gain the trust of the community when you'll stop being hunted. Common sense.

PS: Sheep made a pretty good point. If you're using a Promy, an insanely unbalanced ship, it's safe to assume you're hostile. It takes more effort in bringing down one, so it only makes sense to respond early and quickly. Don't put yourself in a position to appear hostile if you don't have that intent.

add the valk to the "insanely unbalanced ship" list.

So arolte, I notice you dont shoot me when im flying a prommie. In fact, its rare that anyone does. You sure it just doesn't depend on whos flying it as opposed to what they are flying?

Every nation has special "at least I hope that will become it" and that ship will excel in that branch.

But I presume when missions are comming, only being able to fly a valk will become a bad thing because every ship will have it's place in it.

The valk has already been toned down once, stop trying to get it completely nerved. And just have fate in the devs, they now where they are going, and I'm sure their update will be one hell of a piece of work.

So please stop talking about unbalanced, let's see what the devs have done, and after that even if they are still unbalanced in your eyes, then it could possibly be that they should have been unbalanced in the devs eyes.

Besides every special is as unbalanced as another comparable ship, that's the reason why they are special. But as always , they will get their place in the game, and then I will hear everybody say, nice doing devs.

So please just stop complaining and play the game ;)
