Vendetta Online feature research

Hmm, here's a snag: Since MelGMMO completely failed to read the website or manual prior to posting here, how can we expect MelGMMO to read the responses here?
Also, if I post complete gibberish, how likely is that gibberish to become a permanent part of the Vendetta description at that site?

Yeah, that'd be funny if they actually used some of the nonsense LeberMac or TRS wrote up.

Firstly I'd ike to thank those posters who chose not to be rude and arrogant in their replies - it is very much appreciated.

As I have stated already GlobalMMO will be offering its subscribers a look at the MMOs out there, from the gamers point of view (are the keywords here). I am again a little tired of repeating that I have gone through the website and have already gathered the standard replies with no great depth and this was done prior to posting this thread.

I am a little shocked to say the least that you would wish a visitor to this forum (especially one who will be reviewing this game) to believe the community is rude, arrogant and unhelpful.

I thank you for the 'feedback' re the font used on the site, but as you'll have no doubt gathered the site is under construction so at the point of full launch (with database) things like the font and graphics will of course be polished. We do however, decline your kind offer of input in to our sites design.

Again many thanks to those who refrained from being rude, I only hope other visitors or prospective players wander in to you before they run in to the less desirable VO player and get turned off the whole idea in one move.

Dear Melanie,

Thank you for you for providing the players an opportunity to add information to your sight.

I do hope that in the future, you will be more considerate in your request to other game players for addition input. Normally such a request would be accompanied by the name and address of the website the research is for. Additionally, any claims of prior research would list the results of that research, so that players could review it for completeness and accuracy, and have a better understanding of what additional information is appropriate. I am quite confidant that proper manners on your part in these matters will greatly reduce rude responses to your request.

I am very sorry that many responses where not as polite as you might like. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the internet in general, and online gaming specifically. I am sure that your continued explorations on the internet, you will discover many rude people. Our player base is drawn from a very wide audience, and the sign up process failed to apply a politeness filter, as is proved by your opening post.

Good luck in your endeavors

It's strange... VO is, by far, the most friendly community I've ever been a part of on the net (including friend-based forums and the fan forums of my bands, where the fact that people do know me in real life never seems to contribute to their politeness... ).

(Well, the, by far, friendliest community I've ever been part of, but excluding the guy who's name sounds almost exactly like an old classic chewing gum brand that used to be popular in Sweden back in the 80s)

And yet, Melanies first post managed to provoke both sarcasm, irony, whatever lingustics and semantics claim exists in between, and a good portion of annoyance.

Now, I'm just a make-believe space trucker, but I'm thinking the original post might have had something to do with it... The idea behind it is great, though, so keep it up. But you might want to revise your questionnaire. Otherwise, with generic questions that only half apply to a unique game such as VO, your GlobalMMO listing will contain little that cannot be found on mmorpg.com, and far less than what you can read on Wikipedia...

Melanie:

Heh, yeah the font on your website *is* rather difficult to read. I was actually offering my services as a well-paid web designer, but I see you have that department covered.

Carry On.

P.S. I thought my responses to Melanie's queries were well-thought-out, concise, and accurate.

P.P.S. If you reconsider and would like website help, really, I can be hired.
