This update broke amd64. Im unable to Dock/Warp and some other glitches. Ive already submited a bugreport.
The Mac version seems ok :)
Anyway, Happy Easter to all the devs and to the whole VO community.

Broke for me too. AMD64, Gentoo Linux
Works for me, Gentoo Linux
AMD64?
Well Gentoo got different kinds of Systems ....like AMD64, KDE and stuff like that i think AMD64 is also an system
Yes RaWolfe, but are you on x86 or amd64? And which version of VO are you using: 32-bit or 64-bit?
x86 I believe I need to ask my brother as he install Gentoo hehe. 64-bit
Hmmm. Great. Sorry everyone. AMD64 was compiled on a new compiler this time around (4.1.1), so it may have introduced problems. We tested it before release and it seemed ok, but apparently not. We'll check it out.
im on a x86 amdathlon xp with windblows xp and i have no problems with this update
... everything bugs and crashes like usual

ah ok, here are my specs:
againaway@lightbringer:~$ gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
Configured with: ../src/configure -v --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc,obj-c++,treelang --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --with-system-zlib --libexecdir=/usr/lib --without-included-gettext --enable-threads=posix --enable-nls --program-suffix=-4.1 --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu --enable-libstdcxx-debug --enable-mpfr --enable-checking=release x86_64-linux-gnu
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)
againaway@lightbringer:~$
libc6 2.3.6.ds1
libc6-dev 2.3.6.ds1-13
I know my compiler has nothing todo with that, but i assume its the one debian is using to build the pkgs.
And AFAIK, 4.1.1 has known bugs.

Another report under Linux amd64. I can warp (with an odd warp effect), but not dock, and my weapons have two bugs
a) Gauss cannons use the same weird trails that they did right after the swarm update
b) No weapons fire actually, um, moves. It just kinda sits there
Linux 2.6.20-gentoo #1 SMP PREEMPT x86_64 AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
X.org 1.2.0
nVidia binary drivers 1.0.9755
gcc 4.1.2
glibc 2.5
And I haven't actually ever had a problem with anything 4.1.2 compiled.

I saw a bug onscreen for Windows, but promptly shooed it away with my hand; seems the dumb thing was attracted to the light the monitor gave off.
Apart from that, no other bugs. Apart from using Windows, of course.

AgY: I was talking about our compiler, not your compiler :). We think 4.1.1 may have introduced problems. We've run into wacky compiler bugs like this before. We usually try to stick with a fixed known-good compiler version, but the machine where the AMD64 version is usually built was unexpectedly upgraded.
Andy's going to try and build a new version on his AMD64 machine at home, and release that.

Ok, AMD64 version recompiled and available as 1.7.24.1.
Yea thats why i said 'I know my compiler has nothing todo with that' :))
Anyway, this fix did it! Gj and ty :)
PS: Youre using c++ right? Does 4.1.2 also produce bad bins? Asking because ive compiled some Packages with it.

Yay! All better!
By random chance, a group of five that I created disbanded, saying everyone left the group when no one did.
