A "Thanks" for the devs and Inc.
Thank you for the awesomely-nawesomely-great-super-time last night. That was a battle to remember. Now we have to squeeze the footage out of Daggoth.
I can't wait to get my new rig... then I can start shooting real video.
Cool, glad you enjoyed it :). I thought it looked pretty awesome too. Can't wait until we're doing that sort of thing on a more regular and automated basis. Still have some bugs to work out on that front, but getting there..
What Happened?!?
Don't tell me I missed a awesomely-nawesomely-great-super-time again?

Daggoth said he has like 40 minutes of footage, he's just editing it. Should be done soon. It had BETTER be done soon....
I know my machine is not powerful, can someone with a modern computer tell me if they experienced a lot of lag during the battle and if so how much? At it's lowest I was getting a new frame about every two seconds, but if I moved away from the battle a bit it was perfectly smooth. Just wondered what I could expect with a new machine. Thanks.
I'm on a school iBook, and I was getting about 36 fps while I cuddled the Conny.
I was using an Athlon XP 3200+ at work, with a 256mb GeForceFX 5900 Ultra, and when people would fire large numbers of swarms during the battle, it would drop to maybe 20fps or so. The rest of the time I was probably around 50-60fps with everything in view. My work machine is a few generations behind the latest stuff (even the latest midrange stuff), so a new computer should be quite fast.
Platforms, drivers, and everything else depending, of course. OS X tends to be slower than Windows on the same hardware. Let's hope 10.5.x changes that.

God (Incarnate) spawned a Battle Thingy of Joy. Dag should have the footage.
