Hello, my trial account recently ran out, unfortunately before i had a chance to do something. I want to use one of the stations as a base design for a map in another game (Jedi Academy), so could someone be so kind as to take a few pictures of the base and surroundung area of Dau L-10 please?

You could make another trial account.

So in other words, you want to steal their (copyrighted) graphics, and use them for another game?

Actually, I'm certain they won't mind, as long as you aren't selling the map.

Anyway, It's nicer to ask first, though.

He creates the map, he mentions to all users that it is inspired by VO content --> more people hear about VO. Nothing is bad about it, if devs are ok

Here's one, because the internet is public. Anything we get for free you should as well, and that goes for additional trial accounts. I'll bet you know more about copyright laws then I do, so I won't try and advise you on how to use it. Enjoy. =)

hey devs: pretend to not read this thread, and then pretend not to know anything about it until someone does it for him, and he makes the map, then find out about it and sue him!

you'll get rich and be able to hire bunches of people to finish the game! its a perfect opportunity!

Here's a thought: Use your standard-issue brain and think for YOURSELF, instead of ripping off other people's creative work. It's OK to be inspired by something and create your own derivative works, but don't plagarize.

That's sometimes true, but this isn't one of those times. I'd love to play a JA map based off of a vendetta space station. Make sure you put in a couple of tie-bombers.

SuperMageMynt, thanks for the link! Those of you who say it's a bad idea to base a map on this, go tell that that to the guy who made Midgar (From FF) as a map... I'm not stealing graphics to use in another game at all, you won't see that image anywhere in it. "It's OK to be inspired by something and create your own derivative works" That's precisely what I'm doing, I just wanted a reference so a have a basis to work from.

just post a link to the finished map (upload it to filefront plz) when you are done:) I run a ja server and that would be really great to have a vo inspired map, good luck.
