So Incarnate, Has Nvidia ever gotten around to shipping you those units for testing?
Yes, they did, although it was fairly recently and we haven't had a chance to really do much work with it yet. We'll check into this once the whole Android situation is a little more stabilized.
very cool. Be sure to make some time to just have some fun with them and do some sight seeing in a nice dense roid sector. They're very comfortable and light weight. Easy to forget your wearing them. :)
Do they make a perscription version? Because it would be very hard to forget I'm wearing them if I have to keep my nose four inches from the screen to see it. So unless they can fit over my glasses, that wouldn't work out for me. :\
Might have to give in and get contacts someday.

Most things like these are adjustable (like the view finder on high end cameras) to take into account those with glasses.
hey could we get some anaglyph 3d all up in this bitch?
I'm sure there somekind of driver hax i could do to get it myself but it would be neat just to have the option in VO under the video options, even better would be to let the user set the 2 colors so people could calibrate it to work flawlessly with any red/blue glasses.

I remember when I was little and the 3d episode of Home Improvement was aired. I didn't have 3d glasses, so I grabbed a translucent red and translucent blue Lego sattelite dish and wore them like a pair of monacles. Good times.
this whole thread is making me really want to try VO with 3d goggles :x
Pizzasgood: yeah those dishes were the perfect color. I used to do that to look at 3d comics. :)

Hahaha Rin, I think I've tried that before. :D
I remember playing Descent II at our student house at Uni, we had basically 4 computers on our house LAN. I rigged up some 3D lcd flicker glasses at 80Hz to my SVGA grafix card (I think I had 768x1024).
Descent II supported steroscopic rendering (Left and Right frames every other frame refresh) with the VSYNC timer signal to the 3D glasses.
It made it seem really really 3D. Like going to see Avatar 3D. The gameplay experience was AMAZING.
And this was over 10 years ago
c'mon, it's not beyond the wit of man to get steroscopic 3D rendering on the graphics, and synced to the lcd glasses.
