Looking at the game

Feb 12, 2007 Xephonas link
Hey.
Looking at vendetta online i like the concept, a space real time game with twitch based combat (someone could clarify this?)

I was just wondering what kind of player population there is and how many battles there are etc. Like is it just 1v1's (i hope not) or can larger battles be done?

cheers

First off, welcome to Vendetta Online!

Space real time game: Everything happens in real time, no magical 'time accelerators' are being employed.

Twitch based combat: What matters most in combat are your reflexes, your intellect, and your hand-eye-coordination.

Player population... that's kind of the soft spot in the collective community's belly. We have few players online simultaneously, because the game is not yet ready for the masses. However, larger battles are possible and usually they take place during player-run events like the Nation War (basically, one big fight between usually 3 groups, Itani, Serco and UIT), Last Man Standing (what it says on the box), sometimes the Deneb Run (a race around the Universe) and Flag Raid (another kind of race).

Also, welcome. To clarify what Real Time means, its the opposite of turn based :) (IE, you select your attack it does X damage, your opponent chooses an attack, that does Y damage)

Player population has been steadily increasing since VO came out...now there are 50-60 people on (usually) at a time.

The events (IE Nation war, last man standing) are good places to get into big battles, but also recently Deneb B12 and C10 (the spots for Border Skirmish and Border patrol missions) have had a lot of big Itani-serco conflicts going on.
