saitek cyborg 3d gold throttle not working in phys. mode
hey all, as you know, im quite new, came from jumpgate. i cant seem to get my throttle on my JS to work in physics mode. now if youve ever played jumpgate you'll understand why i cant really fight without it, it throws me all out of wack, and i cant stand the way flight assist mode acts, ESPECIALY in combat, but without a throttle in physics mode, i cant fight either, especialy circle fighting, which i am most accustomed to (this game has the same physics engine as jumpgate, it is very possible with a throttle.) so any help would be appreciated.
Due to the way Physics Mode differs from Flight Assist, there are two different throttle settings for a joystick. If you open the Joystick page under Controls and check the binding for the throttle axis, you'll see both "Throttle" and "Accelerate". Throttle is an absolute position mode for Flight Assist, Accelerate is a relative position mode for Physics Mode.
There have been some bind scripts posted on the forums and at VO Wiki that will toggle the throttle binding when you switch flight assist on/off.

Personally I don't find a throttle any use in combat... others do, but for me I prefer to use a keyboard for all the strafes, or as I more recently have, a dual joystick setup.
TERRIBLE NEWS!
I recently found out cars don't have flaps control!
How are you supposed to change the shape of your wings without them>!?!

dual joysticks is the way to go

I use the pedals from my Logitech G25 (steering wheel/pedal combo) for throttle... along with a saitek stick.. so the gas and brake pedals act as forward and reverse throttle "pedals".. hey, i have feet.. might as well use 'em.
