Vendetta, Wii-style

I thought many Wii users might take interest in this.

Apparently there are programs that allow you to use your Wii Remote as a mouse on the computer. After trying one for the Mac, it dawned on me. You can use the remote in Vendetta. It works somewhat well, not suggested for combat, but cool for trading and mining.

The program I used (Mac only) is DarwiinRemote, http://blog.hiroaki.jp/2006/12/000433.html but you need to download the file here at http://homepage.mac.com/ianrickard/wiimote/. I'm certain there are programs for windows out there, I just have no need to search for them.

Of course, the Wii Remote has a limited number of buttons, and therefore limited functionality, but it's cool nonetheless. It's definitely worth a try for any Wii owner.

if i could get my tuxbox to accept the wiimote, i would be there already.

the cool thing is that the IR sesnsors mean nothing. just make sure that your Wii is not in the same room, or not plugged in.

perhaps you could take apart an inexpensive wireless mouse or something to add a few buttons.

someone needs to try to find a bluetooth keyboard that conx to the Wii... then it'll be alright.
