so im gonna mention it.

how is luis coming on new ship's and whatever?

Luis has chosen to pursue other directions in his life, so he isn't working with us anymore. Unfortunate, but such things happen. We wish him the best.

On the upside, he had several ships in varying degrees of completion, which he sent me. I have to finish them myself, which with some of them.. won't be that big of a deal. But lately I've been bogged down in other areas (gameplay, gameplay, server instability).

Gosh.

.....

.....

How could he do something like that? :/

Oh... shit. Didn't hear about that one.

I'm glad ships aren't at the top of the list right now. While I'd very much welcome new ships, I'm happy with it being further down on the list.

That's too bad, but on the bright side:

1) At some point another artist will be found and will apply his/her own vision to creating ships for the other factions that will have a whole different look. That's cool.

2) Guild has now had the experience of getting an artist up to speed and working with content from the outside. Incarnate spent a LOT of time working with Luis so that they were on the same page as far as specs. Producing a usable ship model is probably beyond the average user.

Indeed, too bad, but I concur with Whistler.
The more artists that come, the more variation in ships.

that being sayd, Luis did a great job and his input is appreciated. If you ever read this, thanks Louis and good luck in your new stuff!

Yeah, I liked Luis' designs rather a lot. (Thanks, "Will Flee!")

Look at it this way: You can kind of designate Luis as the "TPG" ship designer. Other artists may be the "Axia" designers, or the "Corvus" designers.

It might lead to interesting differences in style that would actually be an intriguing change.

Aye , I agree with Leebs on that one . Variety is the spice of life.

Best wishes to Luis , some very impressive designs.

am i the only one who didn't expect luis to be working full time or even long term at guild?

i mean... how many ships can one design before

the game becomes saturated with ships

or

boredom sets-in in-between releases of whatever artwork is completed?

anyhow, good luck luis on whatever you're going (/gone) to next. good luck incarnate/guild on finishing/including this stuff in time.

is the sudden disappearance of the constellation related to luis' departure? or has anyone spotted one recently?

though i would agree with most that new ships are not the first thing that ought to be on the boiler plate. whatever those are (other than deliverator & faction stuff).

I think the capships were just removed from the convoys. Might have been related to the Deliverator issues, perhaps?

Sentiment echoed: thanks for all the ships, Luis. Happy trails.
