Well, we didn't really expect people to use the screenshot thing, it was more for our own use. And, speaking of our own use, we're more interested in a realistic picture of what's on the screen than we are in compressing the result.. so using lossy compression was out of the question. Plus, for what it's worth, people will probably want to resize images anyway, in which case they should be able to deal with converting TGA. I have no idea why khral's Photoshop doesn't open it, it's a pretty ubiquitous format.

Maybe someday we'll make it dump to jpeg. Not right now.

The screenshot from Vendetta is both in a .tga format and compressed into a 75% jpeg... Be forewarned, the .tga is approx 3 MB
