Okay, I need help from you vets:

How am I supposed to keep up with everybody's conversation on the chat, AND dogfight at the same time? I can only do so many things at a given time...some tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if there's really a secret to it... it's just about multi-tasking. When things are really heavy I think everyone misses a message here and there.

In case you weren't aware of it it's possible to scroll up and see what you missed when things cool down a bit. Hit the ~ (tilde) key and the console is brought up. You can use the page up and page down keys to scroll it. Hit tilde again to close it. You can't control the ship while the console is up.

Get a joystick, you can control ship and chat, as long as you can type with one hand.

Or, if you're involved in a conversation, just don't dogfight... I've gotten to where I'll actually either stop or just use the /+turbo command (When I'm moving between sectors) so I won't have to worry about it. Not that I'm a vet or anything, I just thought I'd offer my suggestions.

I didn't know you could scroll through the console screen... cool! Now I need to map the pg-up/pg-dwn keys to my mouse-wheel...

Ya if you're in an intence dog fight just read the chat afterwards using the console and page up.
