things that make me happy

Dec 09, 2006 upper case link
meh. previous threads were locked, even without one ninny being said.

it'll serve as a cheer-up thread after we've demoralized them. let's see if they lock this one.

i like:

killer visuals
mac support
controller supports & configuration
discussing with devs
frequent updates

and other things too. i'm too lazy at this moment to discuss them. i just want to start a discussion. 'coz i'm bored.

Why would it be locked if it isn't a rehash of a locked thread, a flame-war, or careening off the topic? That's why the others were locked, as was carefully explained.

very responsive development team
(I'm testing another game that is larger and has had the same frequently exploited glitches for many months)
honest answers and updates from dev team
(far less spin than you'll see anywhere else)
overall supportive player base
simultaneous multi-platform support
(other developers sometimes drag their feet on one platform or another, if they bother at all)
twitched-based combat in space
inexpensive

My post was definitely a NINNY! post. Even if I didn't use that word directly. ;)

In addition to what has already been said:

• nonconsensual combat with the option for the victim to get away most of the time
• the playerbase (in general and specifically), even though, or perhaps because, it changed a lot in the last two years
• low pricing (for an MMORPG)
• the opportunity to see something evolve from scratch (okay, not from scratch, but from a pretty early stage)

In addition to everything, I also like the stats pages and race tubes.

hrm... what I LIKE...

I like having absurdly LOW ping since I'm like within punkin' chunkin' range of the game servers. I get worried when my ping is over 20... hehe

I like Mac support. No Mac support is a dealbreaker for me.

I like being able to make suggestions and see those suggestions being acted upon by the company, even if it's the slightest amount of action.

I like being able to afford the game, as well. $8 a month when bought in bulk, not too too bad. :)
