EDIT: I'd like to clarify that I didn't defend his exploit of the trial account loophole at all btw. I've only been defending him on the grounds that revenge muting is bullshit and abuse also, and that I can understand his anger and subsequent actions. That does not mean that I agree that it was the right way to handle it. (and I told him so in the beginning of all this)

EDIT: I'd also like to add that MY muting at the same time was CLEARLY revenge muting and thus abuse, even if no-one exploited the loophole to do it. (and I went from 10 to 20 AWFULLY quick so I think there WAS exploiting. Btw the 10 votes were left-overs from Halloween when I was drunk and seemingly obnoxious. (I don't remember, but I imagine I deserved 'em. What I do remember is being drunkenly angry at Solra for a pretty severe (IMNSHO) slight, so again, I probably deserved 'em.))

Some would argue that it is on-topic, as the previous day's events led directly to that day's. I would disagree, (that the previous day's events SHOULD have led to that day's) in that my main contention is that to (finish) muting him the next day when he is no longer asking for the mute, (COMPLETELY SILENT in 100, check your logs) is vindictive, spiteful, and abusive. However I can understand that background, and character, (same thing?) are important in the presentation of a case. So I still say take it somewhere else if you aren't referring to the same things as the rest of us... but if you are trying (incorrectly) to simply make supporting arguments? Then, learn to debate.

I think that's a bad idea Demonen... as long as people remain (relatively) civil, I think airing grievances is a good thing.

I wasnt here when it happened, but I have heard enough, if you break the law and today the jury doesnt have enough votes to convict and sentence you but the next day after its all over the alternate jurors want to cast their vote its too damn bad. Too late, get over it. I do not agree with using trial accts either, so dont try saying Im just siding with my guildmate. I do stand by him in the fact that the way it was done was wrong. Personally I think any vote mutes should expire when the offender has been logged off for a set period of time, that way when they are muted, its for what they are doing at that moment, not what they may have done a couple days previous.

Now that idea I can support. A week (or however long it is) is too long for votes to just hang.

I agree with Erik; that would be a reasonable way to do it, but I'd request that the vote be restricted to a percentage of the active ingame player count, within a certain reasonable range.

However, Mystic, the way you're coming across is that tumble turning around and muting six people with twenty trial accounts was an okay thing to do in retalation. Thing is, it's not--that's why the issue was fixed by the devs. The appropriate action would to have shut up, log off, and email the devs and then go about his business, NOT logging in on a trial account to bitch and moan and then mute other players in return.

He didn't act like a mature adult. He acted like a child with the rest of everyone else in 100. THAT is what pisses me off.

I muted 5 people, not six. The appropriate action would have been to never have had to do anything in the first place. MY inappropriate actions did not start this situation, your friends did. You can't admonish me and still defend your friends actions. Either we're all wrong or we're all right, anything else is hypicritical. I know I was abusing the system when I got all of your friends muted, I knew when I was doing it and I know now. I did it on purpose. Your pals also KNEW they were abusing the system, and still chose to do so, not as individuals, but as a group they chose to persecute me.

This whole thread you and your friends are trying to pin this entire incident squarely on me, but that's not how it happened. You and yours were not angels in this, stop pretending to be. Take some responsibility for what you've done.

Miha did you not read where I put that I did not agree with the trial accts being used? Seems to me you are choosing what to read and understand in my post. Regardless of how I feel about what tumble did and as he said, he knows what he did,he admitted it I see no one else doing the same. What was done TO him was wrong, no matter how you describe it.

Those two statments are contradictory. That is why I said you came across that way. The first says that you don't agree with the use of them, but the second one says (to me) that you don't think what he did was wrong.

I don't have anything to admit to, except for agreeing with Jex and Erik that tumble's handling of the situation was anything but mature. I wasn't ingame for any of the mutings. It's that simple. Erik, Jex and Amaranth-? You can take it up with them. I was not ingame.

And tumble, YOU think one thing, I think another. Jex and Erik are trustworthy individuals, and TO MY KNOWLEDGE they would never do such a thing. YOU, however, DID do such a thing, in anger, out of spite, to people who didn't vote for you ON THE DAY IN QUESTION. Your behavior was that of a child's.

So, now you're questioning the facts and rehashing lies because you think I'm childish? It takes quite a grown up to stick their nose into a situation they weren't even involved in, have no first hand experience of, and have nothing substantive to add.
