It still does nothing of use, since the radar still works out to 5000m in storms.

According to the station, Radar Extender extends Radar StormRange by 1000m and Radar Range by 0m.

Lecter: yeah, that's a known issue, Ray just forgot to uncomment something before releasing. Will be fixed shortly.
