Have goods recovery rates been changed?

I've noticed that some goods that used to recover at 4 points per hour now only recover at 1 point per hour, and some that used to recover at 1 point per hour are doing 1 point per two hours.

Have the recovery rates been adjusted?

I haven't put that much attention to it, but I too have noticed huge differences in trade goods sell values.

That is a big Ten-Four, tumble. Since the new widgets came in a lot of adjustments have gone on with the economies. Now brace yourself for storage fees.

I mean, did they change SINCE the new widgets were introduced?

Yes. As have a few other things. My 16 million credit per hour in system trade route no longer works =P

nope, only 3 mill an hour in system trades are possible :D

damn. I had goods invested for the Economy crashing sale!
Oct 20, 2006 Millenium Blackhawk link
Right... what the heck were you trading to make 16 mil per hour?

Don't telll! TGFT already knows about the 11k per crate profit route!

Artana Aqu N3 to L11(fuzzy on the stations, but upper right to lower left). Syn Gems up and...shit, not sure which back down. But we're talking nearly 250k per mothload on the syn gems back then. The other junk was bringing in around 175k per load, I think. If I go back and look, I'll remember what I was hauling down and post it.

Mmmm destabalizing the economy.

Because people were making too much money trading goods, the maximum prices of a lot of the goods were lowered. This is probably why you're not able to make as much money per trip anymore.

Yeah, and the superb notice of that impending change was really appreciated. You know, by those who had spent hours stockpiling goods in anticipation of a sale at one profit margin? Yeah, that was really nice.

Oh, wait.

Huh, that's some calculations. My moth just doesn't fly as quick as yours Dr. Biocom had some excellent goods only produced at 1 station and in demand all over the universe. The best route i found was 470K in-system round trip. Sorry devs, didn't realize it was an exploit of sorts.

It was Nanite Modulators from BioCom and Cooking Supplies from TPG in Dau.

Dr. Lecter, warning people of the change would only exacerbate the problem the change is solving.
Oct 20, 2006 Dr. Lecter link
Perhaps so, but you have to balance that against the good-faith investment of time others. And last I checked, this wasn't any form of exploit, just the usual 'well, we're not really sure what will work, let's just throw this in and see what happens' that, as usual, needed correcting.

I agree with lecter. I've wasted a lot of time and it pisses me off. A sale I anticipated to be 80 million profit is now barely 8, and for that I wasted many many hours moving mothload after mothload, time I would never have spent for such a ridiculously tiny profit, not to mention the millions upon millions I spent buying the goods to be moved. What was to be a big profit is now a net loss, because those goods aren't worth moving anymore. And for that I wasted 10s of hours of gametime. I know it couldn't last forever, but some notice would have been nice.

Actual space wouldn't have a dev team to randomly change the economy without telling anyone...
