Hi, all. I'm a former Jumpgate player and a current EVE player. I found VO thanks to a winding trail of completely random googling, and, well, here I am! I look forward to giving this game a shot. While I do love EVE, I miss the relative simplicity and FPS mechanics of Jumpgate. Given that this game seems to be an amalgam of the two, it should be interesting. Particularly appealing to me are the newtonian physics which the manual implied rules ship movement. Being a space buff, I've been dissapointed that more games don't have real newtonian physics. Jumpgate had pseudo-newtonian physics, while EVE is complete handwavium. Anyhow, I'm rambling. Look forward to getting vaporized by you folks in the near future!
