I am getting some people together to start working on the Neutral Territories website. This is just up here for things that people might want to see on the site, I already have some things down Such as a Hall of fame, Rules of conducts, and much more! I'll give you a list of stuff when i'm nearing the start of building the site. My first question what language should the site be in, or should it be all flash? (dont worry im not the lead Coder.)

My suggestion would be HTML/XML (or XHTML if you want to be that way) with some basic stuff in JavaScript, no Java, no Flash and no other custom plugins. HTML is the easiest and the most extensible, and JavaScript can handle everything like a neat little scrolling status bar. :)

not that im in neutral or anything, but flash in excess sucks, you wind up with a crappy site that takes ages to load and that you cant expand easily...

leave flash out alltogether...

+ i agree with ctishman Frontpage != HTML infact id go as far to say

if(frontpage == HTML){ initialise_pig_takeoff_sequence(); }

Hmm.. html: check, PHP: Check, CGI (Perl): Check, Flash: willing to try anything once.

Im very good at web design, and as a member of the Gold nation, hey, count me in. I think that it should be built using HTML and CSS pretty much only, no flash, and maybe a bit of PHP for a fourm, etc.

How about Dreamweaver? ;)

what about coldfusion?... i work at web development part time (i'm in high school) coldfusion is an awesome database language in addition to html... can make the site easy to update with a content management system of some sort and make a really sick message board.
