Hi I am new. Looking to find a mmo to play again. I used to play dark space, but while it was nice team oriented combat, you still only had one objective, take over the MV.

Vendetta seems more dynamic to me.

In this game can you control capital ships as well are only fly fighter craft? is the view locked to first person, or is there an external view you can fly by.

thanks

You can currently dock with cap ships and man the turrets, but the cap ship itself is flown by AI. The plan is to eventually have guild and player owned cap ships which are commanded by human players.

There are several external views, but I think you'll find first person is the best when it comes to combat and navigation.

This game will be more dynamic in the future. Right now, it is often described as "space quake". You can trade, mine, or shoot people. Things like owning cap ships, stations, and territory are coming in the future. I have no idea when that will be. However, for now, the game is fun but not particularly dynamic.

The one really dynamic thing thats cloest right now is the econemy. Soon they are going to do a release which will make the whole econemy act like a real one, with real convoys that really need to get where they are going.

If "dynamic" is being used here "running" or "growing", then I think it can be safely said that Vendetta as a whole is growing in all aspects.

"Space Quake" is much more descriptive of what Vendetta once was. The FPS QUAKE never had mining, trading, etc.. The reference is vestigial and unfair. The other answers were correct otherwise.

Not all pilotable ships are fighter craft. The Behemoth is a cargo freighter that is useful to traders and miners.

I think the best discription of this game that I have read in these forums is "Space Kung Fu".

The Behemoth, while most certainly not a fighter-type ship, is not without some punch. I've killed everything from NPCs on up to Gavan (one of the best player pirates) in my Behemoth.

Frankly, that's the beauty of this game. It takes skill, tactics, and concentration to win in combat. The winner is not automatically determined by who has better equipment or more experience points. 9 times out of 10 Gavan would probably beat me in a dogfight, but I know I still have a chance and can improve over time. When you beat someone who you know is more skilled than you, it feels good because you actually earned it.
