is the current game still the test game or is it the real game? because the way they talk about it on the website makes it seem like its just the test but im not sure.

It's a little of both, and most(?) of the stuff on this site is outdated, some of it is before they even launched the game!

The game is still being heavily worked on and there is several things the Devs want to get in-game that isn't. This is one of the reasons why they are not advertising, because they feel it's not ready, and I agree with them.

To add to the history: The game began as Vendetta Test, which was merely a little free online FPS-style game to demonstrate the abilities of the mighty game engine that Guild had created. The idea was that a larger, well-funded software company would purchase it and perhaps give Guild scads of money and resources to make Vendetta the game that Guild had envisioned.

Sadly, this didn't work out. Space genre MMORPGs have not been sexy for a few years now, so there hasn't been a ton of interest.

Guild decided to go it alone. With pledges of support from the existing VO community, they embarked on a pay-to-play business plan that would allow the game to go into heavy development mode while still being online and playable 24/7. The plan has had its drawbacks, but it has allowed the devs to fund ongoing development.

So: It's the real game, but not the whole game. If you are excited by the prospect of being a part of a constantly evolving game, then this is the place for you.

My will states: Pay for Vendetta Online for another year.

I personally will pay for the development of this game after im dead.

well, we have offered many times and even held contest i believe about giving you folks appropriately-sized screenies.

i know you guys used to photoshop some of them for content but... if you give us guidelines (say, no chat in hud or whatever) then we could still replenish those screenies for you. all you'd have to do is make your picks.

I have plenty of screenshots, thanks though :). I've mostly been waiting until the new UI and HUD are finalized, so they'll be.. current. Anyway, I was mostly talking about how I need to update the content of the website, like all the parts that refer to the game being in testing or whatever.

The game is in release but some fantastic ideas from the user base (most notably, RelayeR) has sent us into a new phase of incorporating and refining those changes, leading to more suggestions and refinements. So, come in, have fun, make suggestions and BE NICE!

RelayeR, you forgot to mention that it isn't done yet because everything is still upside-down, and theese things take time to flip over!
