I know I may sound newbie but it gets really annoying trying to pick up items dropped by killing bots. I usually just leave them since everytime I try to run into them to get them, I somehow miss evem though I hit the sides of it. Maybe there should be a key you should be press that if you are close enough you can pick it up.

A) Running into the crates is the easiest, least aggravating way to pick up the crates

B) This suggestion should go in the Suggestions forum, imho

Oh oops, well I keep runing into these crates and I think I got them but when I look back, they are still there.

Nope, not full. If I get lucky, I sometimes get it.

• Try lowering your speed before running through (not over) a crate. This might help improving your aim.

• Take your time aligning with the crates instead of 'parking over it' and moving your ship about to pick it up, it will save you more time in the longer run.

• Use the external camera to pick them up. As soon as your ship's collision box touches the crate's, you should get the 'kerchank' of picking up goodies.

Also, some items are too large to fit into some of the smaller ships.

whistler is right... try picking up a battery in a valk... aint happening!

Oh no wonder. I was in the beginning one so maybe it was too large. Also, thanks toshiro for the tips.

Hmm, we should put the number of cu the cargo requires on the new HUD.

Although it is rare, I sometimes encounter "cargo lag", where I have to hover on the cargo for up to 10 seconds or so before it registers.

That cargo lag... I encountered it as well, but the pickup registered with the server the moment I ran through the widget. It just lagged in appearance, not effect.

The Valk Rune has 6cu of cargo space. I use that one for Queen hunting.

i thought this said 'picking up interns'.
