Minor stuff, and the new HUD (if the optional interface is enabled). We still have some work to do before the new UI will be ready for production.

Mostly bugfixes and minor stuff, but check out the new HUD and
feel free to post feedback.
- corrected in-game news timestamp
- fixed key-repeat in linux; it affected the new animated zoom-in feature
- new HUD enabled when 'Use New Interface' is selected in Interface Options menu
- client tries to fix-up the completed missions list when client doesn't terminate properly
- some lua bug fixes

* In linux, now there's no easy way to zoom out

Yep, another step forward. I find the colour saturation on the hud speed and power bars a bit too translucent , but that might be me or my monitor.
Pressing "o" now brings up an empty cargo box next to the new cargo box under the weapons box, not sure whether thats a bug or a feature.
I see that I can set the hud license type with the tick boxes in the pda, from Rogues comments it may be that it works on osx but not linux.

roguelazer: The PDA character stats section has been updated with checkboxes to identify which progress bar to display.
Zoom feature still works fine on WinXP Pro.
davejohn: the 'o' button is a feature, and it would contain more cargo icons if you had more than 2 types of cargo on board.

Thanks for the separate images for the radar in the HUD!
Sorry, I missed the checkboxes. I was looking under the Interface button in Settings.
NP rogue, I almost did too since they are TINY.
The Chat screen turns off when jumping. I lost a chat line that I had entered when I Had presse enter the submit the chat entry and pressed enter once again to jump

I can corroborate davejohn's/Ecka's comment about the colour saturation. It is hardly discernible from the background colour of the bar.
Also, the gauge on the energy bar (it is divided into irreuglar parts) is a bit misleading, since one division almost (but not exactly) coincides with the 25% threshold. Would it be possible to move this to 25% for the standard HUD (not skinned)? I think this has been suggested multiple times before.
I can't comment much on the damage indicators, I think I'll have to play more. The extended cargo screen is very nice, as is the skill advancement bar.

I like the damage indicator in conjunction with the radial status bars. I was botting tonight and found that it worked rather well .

One thing , the distance number seems a bit in the way , If it were moved below the distance bar I feel it would be a little less intrusive . Overall the new hud is a more sophisticated graphic,but does need a bit stronger colours. good work all round.

I agree with Ecka.. move the distance reading below the bar.. maybe move the sector name on top to make room, but the two distance readings so close together seem a bit odd...
