My first MMORPG was Earth and Beyond and I was so sad to see that go away. With that as my Sci-Fi MMO experience, how likely am I to enjoy VO? Also how open and friendly is the community towards new players? Last of all, are there many roleplayers in this game, and if so how are are they to find?

First off, Welcome to VO!

You will find quite a few former EnB players here, myself included. Try the game out, it has all kinds of elements, role-playing being a huge part, take a look at the Role-Play forum for some examples.

With regular updates, this game is growing constantly, you can be whatever you want, the possibilities are endless. The dev team is wonderful, they listen and talk with us regularly. The community is a good one, most willing to help new players find their footing.

So dive in, join us, you wont be sorry. I myself have been here over two years and grow more addicted with each passing day. Again welcome and I hope to see you ingame soon.

I'm going to making my character soonish, once I have a name I'll let folks know who I am. I'm sure I'll need help.

I used to play EnB.
Was sad to see it deprecated as well.
Pick a Serco character, we need them.
If any itani says "No pick Itani!" well then their just stupid.

All three have role players, the backstory helps some, but I will give you some comparisons to EnB, its how I saw the three nations when I joined.

Serco - warrior type people similar to the Progen of EnB
Itani - similar to the Jenquai
Uit - similar to the Terran

That was a blast, Spence. too bad we're both Itani and can't go after each other. No matter what, that was one of the most fun activities I've been in, up until the power went out in my apartment for the second time in two days. (I'm on to your evil plan, by the way.) Be a UIT. This allows you to either live up to the image of peaceful capitalists, or go rogue and join whatever cause you wish, should you decide to do so later on.

Dont pick UIT, is way to many UIT`s allready, do as Kix said go for a Serco char.
