Actually i got hit by one when i was fighting with Incarnate, and yes, it killed me instantly... he maintains it was an accident cos he didn't mean to select it... but i "was" winning ;-)

Also, i'd like to point something out. When I took those screenshots, I had 915 points. The only thing I killed between that point and now was the Frigate (I got the last shot off somehow), and my score is now 2945. Frigate = 2030 point increase.

Regarding Frigate Scoring:

How is it done? Because if it's the last person to shoot, I see serious exploits. I mean, one person might do all the work and launch 49 avalons, then a point-hungry player can jump in and fire off the last one, therefore getting all the score for almost none of the work. I think all the players should get it, 2000c apiece. Just my 17/9 cents.

Make the turrets still AI with a PC option and give it some massive weapons up front that are controlle like normal weaps now.

A beam cannon up top and bottom, with a range of 3km would be nice on the AI frig for npow, and frigs in the future!

Regarding the Beam Cannon: In its latest incarnation it was doing about 4000 damage per strike, and it didn't automatically hit - I beat El Gaupo's bean cannon centurian fairly easily in my Valk. If the cycle rate of the beam cannon is dropped to say 1 per 2 seconds, I think it would work.

Word has it that this is going to be there top of the line ship and that frigate is just a working title. In that case it should have like 10-12 beam cannons (or other similar heavy weapons) rather than two.

One thing I didn't see in this post is about the alien bots.
They will chase you in thier pre-made "wings", if you kill the leader, they other two run away back to where the leader is.

The only problem i see with the ai frigate is this.

It has those huge engine slots, 3 of them, they are big and glow, but the frigate doesn't move! >:-(

Oh well, oh and the bots should be launched from the frigate, and the frigate needs to turbo in or something, it just appearing is, odd.

Panda: I haven't had a chance to test them completely, but I can tell you that once you hit one, you get the attention of at least a few of them at once.
