MSKanaka, if you would notice, it is better with a separate thread as not to clog the mentor thread with mentoring requests, atleast in my opinion.
Besides, what's wrong with a little redundancy?

It's great to see that you are eager to help mentor new players.

However there is a designated area in this forum for posting these offers.

I will put you on the list.

If you are in game, try joining channel 1 and offering to mentor players on that channel. If you ask on channel 100 too often you will probably be reminded that channel 1 is for mentoring newer players.
