Yesterday I noticed that some rockets for a small weapons port appeared grey(not red) when searching for weapons. I'm not sure what this means can some help?

Also, I'm pretty new to the game, but noticed that my experience for combat, light, and heavy weapons haven't been going up much lately which to me is strage because I've been killing a lot of Apu Tech 5 Guardians. Do I need to be in a mission to get experience points because lately I've just been trying to kill bots and not take missions.

Grey means you don't have enough credits to purchas the item.

And yes, best way to level is the combat missions. You get more xp depending on what kind of weapon you use to destroy the bot. Killing them with a light weapon will get you Light XP, a heavy weapon will get you heavy xp. Regardless, taking the combat mission will get you all three kinds of xp.

Weapons go up based on the weapon you used to make the kill.. Also Apu Tech 5s are not very good XP, in fact guardian class bots are probably the worst to farm, since they are generally a lot tougher than the other types but also give less XP.. You should go after Assaults..

And always take the mission, since you will not get ANY Combat XP unless you're doing the mission and besides it's bonus XP for doing what you're doing anyway, so you might as well take it..

Just hang out around the Geira/Deneb wormhole and scavenge all the weapons you want. I guarantee you will find some sunflares.
