I think the point is that since some of the devs have been out of town (remember those threads saying the devs should take some time off?), and because the update is a bit more involved this time, there's nothing to report. Anyway, that's pretty quick to get all despondent about the lack of a Saturday news post.

I DO have a problem with it because it's right here in the General forum where new people might get the idea that we don't receive fantastic and unheard of service from the development team. People are way too quick to criticize and it annoys me. Most development teams would have distanced themselves from the community well before now. We're spoiled, but we don't have to act like it.

(I'm maybe slightly more in the know, but I don't pump for info. After several years of seeing how the Devs operate, I know they care about the community.)

There is a reason there hadn't been an update last week. Actually several things happened... I was in San Antonio last week, plus I was delayed by a tornado touching down about 50 yards behind my house and dropping trees and power lines all over the only ways in and out of the subdivision. (Google News search for Hartford, WI tornado - everyone is OK) John and his girlfriend went camping last week too, and then had a totally unrelated accident but I'll let him explain. He's posting about that now.

Calder, once you know the "whole story" I hope you appologize.

You have no idea what happened to the devs last week. Andy just told you about the tornado that was uber close to his house, and then there's John's story. Both stories give me shivers.

Och aye , RL happens. Anyway , its summer. Folk should get out a bit . Camp , walk , fish etc....
