Economy Lag
Just a quick question: Is there lag in the economy? I mean, when I sell some cargo does the price drop immediately or does it take a little while?
I ask because I'm wondering: If there's no lag, then wouldn't there be a rush to sell when a convoy reaches its destination?

It updates once a minute, so there's a maximum of one minute, or a mean of 30 seconds, before the price changes take effect.
As I understand it, the stations update every minutes so you have a small window for selling items at the listed price. this means if you sell a large quantity at one time all the items will be sold at the same price.
Hmmmm. So if some players convoy, and they sell their goods within, say, 10s of each other, there's a 1/6 or 17% chance that the first player selling will get a better price than the last player selling.
I guess that's OK, but I suspect that people who knew that would be tempted to sell a bit early.

Smart people give all the goods over to one guy, who then sells them all for the same price and gives everyone their share of the cash.
AFAIK on TGFT convoys nobody sells the cargo until everybody docked
Then they sell it at she same moment
Then they sell it at she same moment
giving it all to one person may work for a small voy... but typically we (TGFT) make sure everyone docked and not afk, announce to sell, and everyone reports when they have sold (some post their profit). Works well.
If someone wanted to be mean about it sure they could sell early. But then people would figure out they had been undercut and that person would earn a bad rep.
