Did you guys (devs) change something server side with the faction system? Like maybe a hit if one destroys a voy in grey?

Because I just logged in to find my orion dropped over 300. For no apparent reason.

No more Rev C's for me, for now.

i have a similar episode.

i logged on one day in the last week or so and my serco standing was at -115 from +998.

i worked hard to get the standing to begin with and have to work for it again... i just hope that this time it wont plateau at +999 and finally go to POS.

Uhh. I didn't do anything with that. Nor do I know why that's happened.

Well, we now have confirmation that once you hit +999 you no longer get the "faction raised" message, so it seems getting POS is impossible now.

It's possible to get POS. Get your faction to between 980 and 990 and take a 12-system (or more) escort or trade guild mission. That is the only known way.

Rogue, there ARE no 12-jump trade missions... the largest there is is 10, for the Itani.

I and like other six people have tried that like ten times each, rogue, and no dice. ODdly enough, doing the prospecting missions sent Joyce to Itani PoS.

Has anything been discovered concerning this yet? Being that this affected my pirate char, I'm loathe to trade back up for my Orion standing.

For the second time my Xang Xi has dropped below hated for no reason I can discern.

That was during the window of time when standings increased as a normal slope rather than an steep ass curve. That's how I got POS.

its still possible - I just got it (regained it, actually, but still) recently even when it did the +999 'plateau'. I just kept on running the biggest bulk procurements I could find (I agree there needs to be a more militaristic way of gaining standing...I mean, putting your life on the line in BS should count for something right?) until eventually - after a week or two of doing this constantly - I logged in to find I'd actually managed it.

The next time this happens, post the time you last logged off and the time you logged on so we can check the logs. Unfortunately, we don't keep an infinite set of logs and they get removed after about 5 days.
