CtC

Hey all,

Any chance anyone could explain how exactly Capture The Cargo works?
My character ended up on the "Cargo Captures" page, and I don't really understand how. Is it because of the Serco convoy I blasted? Seems a bit illogical as it only contained a couple robots and a transporter bot?
Or are these the trademark Serco convoys? (I.e. do they simply prefer to use bots as opposed to Tridents and such for the other two nations?)

Thanks for any pointers!

Serco xith convoys run from Daltas Hold (sedina) to Pyronis Stronghold. There is always at least one transport, and several bot escorts. Destroying the transport causes it to drop purified xith (not like the xith you mine from roids). Having destroyed the transport, you will be logged on the CtC page as a convoy destroyer. If you pick up the xith, you can then take it to either Pyronis (to receive money from the serco and increase their xith amount) or to Coranis Watch in Divinia (to receive money from the Itani and increase their stats). Delivering the cargo logs a cargo delivery against your name.

While you are carrying the xith, you can ONLY dock at these stations, but you can drop the xith and dock, then undock and pick it up again.

Whichever nation has the most xith at the end of the week is the nation that gets to buy N3s for the rest of the week.

Join channels 201 and 202 to hear the radio chatter from the convoys, which gives you a 5min warning of departure and its position whilst en route.

CtC no longer has as much significance, since N3s (and the even better LENBs) became available as drops.

Aaah thanks! I must've completely missed the Purified Xith drop... :)

So, on the Itani side, those convoys are made up of a transport + bots as well? Or do the Itani use "regular" convoys for this?

Uhm, I take it N3's are Neutron Blaster MkIII's? :)

Thanks for the information!

The tani convoys are the same as the Serco ones.

N3=Neutron III
LENB=Law Enforcement Neutron Blaster

Whether N3 or lawguns are better is something that's debatable, since the latter have higher speed and repeat rate, but also require more energy pers second by consequence.

For duels, they are probably better than N3s, though.

Better for duals->Lawguns

Better for massing damage, ie on a Levi or cappy->Screw the nuet 2 and get a mega-posi. Don't even consider a nuet 3

P.S. Actually, screw the Mega-posi and get to Plasma HXs. More efficient then a Mega-posi!

Less damage per shot, longer periods between firings = Very very long and boring wait to kill the Levi (more so than currently)

The Flechette Mk II has the highest dpe. Or at least that's what mr_spuck told me... and I kind of trust his info.

Wha! When did I say that? No, hx has the highest dpe.

Hum... maybe it wasn't you, then... sorry 'bout that.

Moldy you silly goose, DPE is ALL that matters when killing the Levi. If you have 2 of them, they do more DPS and take less EPS than a mega-posi.

Calculations were done. By George, you spoend 50 extra minute firing a single positron blaster at a Levi than if you fired a neut2. Oh no, that adds up to what, 12 lost minutes for me if I have four of them?! :o!!!
