/me wonders what the developers were thinking when they made the reflexive command "/me" and not "/I," as now everyone posts "me does this" or "me does that." Any grammarians wish to enlighten us?

it's based on IRC.
IRC has a /me command.

any better than

Maybe you guys whould give ICQ some credit.. you use several things from it.

Why should we give any credit to ICQ when we've never used it? If there's anything we do the same as ICQ, it's probably because ICQ ripped it off from IRC, just like we did.

Anyway, SirCamps, would you like to enlighten us as to how "I does this" and "I does that" is any better than "me does this" and "me does that"?
