My favourite is the Teradon's shiny yellow BFG(lobe). So cool, it's unpronouncable. :P

Would be quite nice to open up the sounds to user customisation like the UI skins. Bet the community is hiding some killer sound engineers who could come up with some awesome sound sets.

Sorry Zebidie, I don't think that would work. For weapon FX, at least. It kinda kills immersion if you can program it to say SHEEBOOOOM every time a guas fires or something, :D

I don't see why Person, if its customisable people would just choose sounds they like. If the sound set is bad people wont use it, if its good then it could add to the in-game immersion. I was thinking it would be a good way for the devs to get enthusiasts in the community to help, they have enough on their plate already. I'd hope it would allow us to improve the sounds without using up too much of their time.

Heh, I'd be happy if i could just get change that awful beep sound for hit indicator. Its possibly the worst in game sound I've heard since the mid 80's.

Nah, too much work; I'm surprised as it is that no one has yet tried to pass off inappropiate material as a "skin", and with sound they potential for abuse would be that much greater.
