Probably just Apple's writer going through his list of everything that runs on a Mac and plugging them according to popularity. You'll notice VO is lumped into the last paragraph.

I'd bet that Blizzard may have paid a bit for their spot in it though, a whole section of the article just for WoW.

Last paragraph, second page, 6 words, with high-res WoW screenies as far as the eye can see. I don't expect to see a great increase in playerbase because of this, sorry. I hate to be a pessimist, but this time I'm just being a realist.

The devs have been very clear that they won't be trying to pull in the masses until the game is more polished. There's a lot of cool things going on around here, but the polishing has not even begun. All the warts have to be smoothed down first.

actually the serco need a few more sharp spikes... preferrably in the form of some kind of national bonus to armor or weapon damage on items purchased in serco space.

That link is actually how I joined vendetta in the first place 6 months ago. I remember originally finding it on the apple site around late '04/ early '05 but decided not to join. I checked back here again last November looking for some sort of online game- and now I'm here.

Whew that apple page has changed since I first found it. I can still sorta remember the old description.

The Apple site is also how I found VO, though a friend directed me to the page.

I didn't find Vendetta through that page, but I did find it by periodically browsing the Game Downloads section of the Apple site. Come to think of it, every single game I play with the exception of Civilization III came from that site. Vendetta, Worms 3D, Vendetta, Gish, Vendetta, Blades of Avernum, Vendetta...

Where would I be if I hadn't checked the downloads page before VO disapeared from the first page?
