Good, UD, 'cause I'm tired of waiting to pwn you.

Well, a few things,
1) Ayn isn't too bad to fight, its SpaceHunter that turns every fight into an endurance match, sitting back at 200 m and spamming. Which is counterable, but sheesh, it takes forever.
2) I don't play every day. Or, maybe I do, but its often not for more than about 15 minutes. Rustiness destroys one's intuitive grasp of the fight, but if you still remember your techniques, you can at least mimic those.
3) As much as I would love to establish myself on top RE: energy, there are MANY, MANY players have entered the top range. With all the styles that are prevalent, its unclear that "Best" is a label that you can put on anyone.
4th and Finally,
The last several fights I've had with Eldy, I've taken a few more. But, as has been said, he's rusty. I used to practice a lot with him though, and I'd bet even money on our fights.
and as far as myself being more versatile? I dunno about that, Eldy is by FAR the superior rocket-dodger/distance controller. Its one of the things that makes him so strong in a multi fight.
So we have very different styles, tough to say which is more useful. And that will probably change as weapons do.
Skill at fighting here CAN be tied to length of time playing, but quite often, people happen upon shortcuts. It's really more the amount of thought that you put into it.

I would only add one thing to Shape's points...
5) Your physical/mental state (at least for old guys like me) makes a bit of a difference. If I'm really beat after a long day, I can't hit a station while parked in the docking bay (or maybe that was the Rammers™, hehe).
[edit]huh... a bit off topic, wasn't it? Oh well, not the first time.[/edit]

Whos this stinky green old man?
Whos this stinky green old man?
to answer the question though, last week saw 742 different characters log on. 29 characters were played more than 24 hours during the same period and the mean time played per character was one hour and 45 minutes. activity as a trend rose noticably at the end of March with a noticable influx of new characters and more time being spent online. an interesting tidbit is that easter actually showed a decline in activity.
all these numbers are calucated whilst exluding bots.
if anyone has any detailed questions I can do my best to answer them.

oooooh a data miner, I love data miners! :)
my detailed question: Can I have weekly reports on all [ITAN] members, Alamar?
in theory, sure. in reality, well, I could set up a cron job to gather the data and mail them to you, that does however sound like work. hm. mail me (if you still have my email addy) and let's see what we can do.
