I've been trying to download VO for the past three days now, but with no success. The download starts at a number above 200k/s, but drops by the second until it stalls. Are there any alternative servers, or a bittorrent link? Or might this be a problem with my ISP, proxy or connection settings (have no problems downloading anything else)?

I threw VO 1.2.6 away when the beta testing of the new client started, so I don't have the option of just updating the game through the official client. And after a few days of the EVE trial, I am aching to get behind the steering neural links of a REAL spaceship... ;-)

Give that a try. If it doesn't work.. I'm not sure. This is the initial client download that's causing you problems, right? Not the updating and patching of the old client?

A question, though: since the screen of my iMac went to the place where screens go to flicker randomly and eventually black out, I've been using a linux box. Is this download just fer the mac client, since it's a .dmg file, or does it contain a .sh file/linux binary as well?

(Never tried to mount a .dmg file in linux, but the mount shell command on my kubuntu/KDE installation is not compatible with the .dmg format)

This is just the mac version. I can mirror the other platforms as well.. I just looked at your account and saw you had a mac, and assumed you would want the mac version.
