Hello. I searched the forums for every possible thing I could think of that might answer this question, but I couldn't find anything, so I figured it's safe to make a thread about it. Is it possible to freeze your account for a month, like if you weren't going to be able to play, you could skip that month's payment and resume membership of the game when you were able to play again? What happens to an account if it is frozen? Do you lose your characters? Or can I stop playing if life/finances need be, and come back a couple months later and pick up where I left off? How long would characters be kept?

If you stop paying your account will not be deleted. You simply cant play in that time. The devs have said many times they will not delete accounts. So you are ok to go ahead with your plan of pausing for a couple of months. I am pretty sure of that.

Also - basically nothing changes with anyting on your account for that amount of time.

Thanks, you've been a big help. ^^ That was the main thing I needed to know before I made the decision to upgrade my trial account to a paid acount. I mean, I would have eventually done it anyway, but now I know there's no harm in doing it now even though I might not be around next month. Nice to know I don't have to wait. :)

It's true, they aren't in any hurry to delete accounts. As far as "freezing" your account, make you contact the developers at

billing@guildsoftware.com

so that you let them know. Payments are based on the calendar, not usage, so they wouldn't automagically know you had stopped playing.
