Just checking
Ok, before I sell a bunch of crap, I just have to make sure this bug has actually been removed.
So, in the new client, are you allowed to sell more than 120 of something? I appreciate all informed replies.

P.S. Why was that there in the first place?

idk, but that sure did kill trading.
My friend left the game for that reason.
Not that I care, trading is BOOOOORING.

there was a crash caused by selling or buying large masses of items.

Think of it like the nascar regulatiors to keep the cars from going faster than 230mph/ You can't trade faster than 120 crates at a time.
However, if I recall correctly, the new UI does let you sell in larger numbers, it just sells the items in batches of 120.

If it sells in batchs for you then your better off selling them in groups of 120 yourself as you can stop when the price becomes too low for your tastes. So really, nothings changed.
nope it actually sells all at once.
Umm, I'll have to ask Andy, but I didn't think it was the 120 limit that was enforced, server-side.
The bug was that the sector was selling say.. one item 10,000 times, instead of one item with a quantity of 10,000. So, there was a lot of ridiculous memory usage. That was corrected. I think there was also on upper limit put in for per-sale quantity.. but I thought it was fairly large.. not 120. But, again, fuzzy memory, will have to ask the guy who implemented it.

Ok, thanks. So, to recap, I CAN sell 10,000 of something at once with the new client? No server-side problems?
I sold about that much, in one swoop, with the new client, and only thing that happened was that I got a lot richer.
I think the feature is actually a good thing... but thats just me. It should probably be upped to around 250 or something though...
Once the station storage limits are put in, it won't matter, Doukutsu.
Not to mention it's bloody boring to store 10000 units of anything to begin with...

There's currently no server-side limit on selling trade items (there is for addons). There's a client-side limit in the production client, but it's removed in the new client.
