I change my mind - I like Klox's approach better... I still think the Leviathan is way too underpowered... but Leviathan difficulty is largely dependent upon the user base size. But even for the currrent amount of players, people are ending the Leviathan too easily. Give it some mean weapons (a new kind, maybe? or something), but like Klox said, I think it'd be a good idea to give the Leviathan sector better defenders. Not necissarily more numerous, but really tough bots. I still think its a bit much that queens are a piece of cake 1v1.
The Noid-
What is the purpose of that? We already have a find-the stronghold mission. We just need to make it work, and tie into other things.

I agree, the Leviathan truely is to weak to pose a threat on its own, once stripped of its protectors, heres the issue.
At each head of the LEVI there is a blind zone, or an area were no turret can actually hit you, therefore making it easy to destory the LEVI single handedly. Perhaps placing two turrets on the heads of the LEVI would solve the problem in the short term, however other things also need to be done to make the hive more menacing.
Examples of this would be a distress call from the LEVI to its Hive in the current sector, if under 50% health the LEVI would recall all bots and queens to the sector, to defend the Hive, however this also brings the question... is something as large as the LEVI... suppose to worth only 3000 overall exp? with the hive returning, it would make it necessary for several players to organize actual raids, such as medic groups, and combat units to take down the LEVI.
When player counts rise, making around 10-30 people attack a LEVI at once, New cargo needs to be dropped such as special weapons and higher quantities.
Anyway, just a few ideas. ^^ discuss

I was primarily concerned with some bugs causing missions not to end today, but I made several improvements to the Hive. It still doesnt seem to be restarting after Levi-destruction reliably, but it should be harder to kill owing to more reliable repairing and respawning. A few more details are available in my most recent post in Bugs, and that is where any bug reports should go. We'll let this thread be whatever it wants to be:)
There should be production modules on the Levy and Queens that can be destroyed.
Cause this warping in from nowhere is just silly.
Plus it means more strategery!

I agree with kix on this strat. I would allow things to be a bit more realistic and would give a newer strat for killing levi's...
For the Hive missions, especially conerning the difficulty of defeating the Hive: why, oh, why, are the Hive bots only attacking players in one's or two's or three's?
Surely the artificial intelligence of the Hive must be sharp enough to understand that once a player has shot down about 20 bots in the sector, he is a threat, and the most effective way to rid the sector of that player would be to jump him with all the remaining bots?
I understand that 40 bots attacking one player would be unfeasible, both in terms of survivability and the graphical load on the computer, but five, ten or fifteen bots, would that be too much as well?
I, for one, would love to dodge ten separate streams of blaster fire and try to still carry out my desperate mission. THAT would put some threat into the Hive threat.
(I would die in a few seconds, of course, but there are players who wouldn't. And for them, that would be even greater fun.)
