LeberMac forgot to include the Atlas in his translation of kix's thing.

The Atlas, is the best fighter in the game. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But alas, I can't get the variant of the Atlas that I like in the sector that I'm homed, so I have to settle for the next best fighter, the Warthog Mineral Extractor.

Hello there fellow Itanees.

As Commander of the Coalition Of Itan ([ITAN]), I would like to formally welcome DND in these sectors of the galaxy.

The Coalition Of Itan shares some of the richest history in terms of guilds in this galaxy with it's origins deeply rooted in the very beginnings of the creation of VO.

Initially the Itani Nation Military, INM changed it's name to the Itani Defense Force at the turn of the official release in 2004. Then, some IDF members went off and spawned the Itani Alliance. Both guilds cooperated for the good part of a year during which other IDF members and some IA members spun off the current Skygge Vakter ([SKV]) group. Since, IA and IDF merged forces to form the Coalition Of Itan.

You will find both SKV and ITAN members around the galaxy and you can count on their support, help and friendship. SKV and ITAN are very close allies and routinely share tactical operations.

Welcome to VO.

Commander Mogul Velaio
Coalition Of Itan

Nota Bene:

Remember only one thing: Sercos are Not Nice™.

mogul, could we please leave the RPing in the RPing forum? a lot of players who play serco's are QUITE NICE.

there are no serco, itani or UIT in the general forum, just VO players.

Just to update some players, we DND are not devs or helpers. We are a gaming guild and have been around as posted before for around 9 years.

I have known the DND guys for that time as we all played a game called Jumpgate. Some of you may or may not have heard of this but it was a MMO Space sim just like vendetta. very outdated now , but was great at the time. We all played it for a good 3 years , it had trading, pvp combat, real space physics (to a point) as in ice gliding effect.

Recently I joinded DND in StarWarsGalaxies (destroyed by SOE), and currently Dark and Light and a handfull of other games.

But we have not found a game yet that we can all play , until now with Vendetta. (but waiting for Pirates of the burning sea)

I personaly have played Beta, and have the badge to show it. And one thing that we are all excited about is playing a Space Sim game again.

We are not the best players in the gaming world, we can hold our own, but all we are is a bunch of gamers who enjoy each others company, banter, insults and just playing things we all have in common. We are not power gamers, we play fair and treat the community like how we would like to be treated, with respect.

So decide for yourself.

gbrain [DND]

Update : the reason we all joined at the same time is that we use ventrilo to shout at each other. Dru mentioned the game, and within an hour we all had downloaded it. The power of speech, well dru shouting at us to download load it NOW. (he needs a lot of help :) )

Spellcast, most serco _players_ I know are nice (in fact, I'm not sure I know one truely abrasive _player_ per say). I even have out-of-game discussions with some of them (such as for event coordination) and I know them to be nice people.

The Not Nice rebuttal is simply a mark of "commerce"--a mild joke that no one takes seriously (who could?). Anything else in the post is not RP; it's just a description of who ITAN is and an introduction for DND of some other people around ITAN.

Some sercos are even nice in-game (Mecha Touriaus comes to mind-- his "evil" character is actually a nice and sportsy player at times--one wich I enjoy being blasted from). Dragon of Fire was certaily both a nice player and a nice character (as far as itanis are concerned anyhow). He's the only Serco (in fact, the only non-itani) player that ever made it into ITAN.

So, welcome again DND.

(And, sercos are still Not Nice™. And I love many of them yet.)

Jan 26, 2006 avirulence link
Nah he drinks a lot, but in fact everyone is flying upside down. The whole universe is. I guess you will be the ones that will be flying the right side up :P
Jan 26, 2006 DruAde link
Blimey we cant have that !!! Ok im flying backwards then.
Jan 26, 2006 avirulence link
Yeah I would advise you to do that anyways while facing some weapons/ships :P

Well, the beer will stay in the glass if your rotational (angular roll) velocity is fast enough... talk to Seta Ralel (a real life pilot BTW) about barrel rolls and glasses of , ahem "beer", in the cockpit...

I'm more into tequila ingame tho. Shots all around! I'd sell beer if the devs would give me a bar to sell them in, but I can't get my liquor license levels up high enough.

Talk to RelayeR about the upside-down "bug" ingame, it's a spatial-orientation thing where you are oriented "upside down" when you initially warp-in to a new sector, check your visual surroundings with the navmap and you'll see what she's always ranting about. She's crazy.
Jan 26, 2006 DruAde link
Ah interesting , I really wish it made a difference to my flying TBH. I manage to roid my ship last night trying to key map the flight assist thingy. " OO look inertia!!" "OOOppps"

Im starting a list of do's and dont's.

so far

1. Dont turn off assist when your 2 inches from a roid at full throttle.

2. Dont ask Ceebee to stay calm while he is flying.

3. Dont take on a Bot when you have 7% armour

This is a work in progress and should reach the usual 1276 rules that govern all DND games.

Someone set that music as background for a captical ship war and I'll be quite happy!
