a1k0n on the guides all i ask is that some standard be set so that all the guides go buy it. from what i could tell its pretty much what they personaly believe as bad.

chewy, the guidelines for guides do exist. No matter what we set for a "standard", though, a guide must use his descretion. We don't say "this word is bad and this word is less bad". Otherwise we could just have the Guide Algorithm which mutes you if you trigger it. That's not acceptible; you need a human.

Guides don't care about swears in particular, actually, it's more about verbally abusing/insulting other players whether you're swearing or not. Chat filters won't catch a flurry of insults.

Anyway, someone else can explain in more detail.

what i'm saying is, you have the /ignore option and the chat filter which are both designed to remove certain things.
instead of the Guides worring about verbaly abusing/insulting they should just suggest to that person to use the filter or the /ignore.

the only reason anyone really swears in game is to insult someone who has just ousted them pretty bad.
too many noobs do this, so it would just be better if the guides pointed out the /ignore and chat filter.

I just know this...when ever there are verbal abusers on...there is never a guide. I've seen a few people just get overwhelmingly upset and you see them swearing back and forth and then stuff that shouldn't be said gets thrown in there due to a death or something.

There needs to be atleast 1 or 2 more who can watch the chat more offen.

Well, if there was a way to become a guide, maybe more people would do it.

I'd love for there to be a guide application, since according to the devs there's only one... I've seen some n00bs who have said things along the lines of "all gay people must die" or "this game sucks because of people like you" (you meaning people like me who don't exploit or pirate, etc., while they were cursing heavily) multiple times...
