The box will still be a collectors item even if it doesnt wipe the most mainstream, carebearish, easiest plug and play MMO atm off the face of the earth. We can all bash ze enemy but its hard to compete with the thousands of dwarfs, pink elfs and bad orcses named legoliaz, Gimmliz or superorc out there :P

well, it kind of depends. do retailers have to pay up front for the vendetta box before they sell it? or do they work on comission/consignment? if the former, this is a bad sign for the vendetta brand name amongst those retailers.

@ananzi: I don't think its that bad, it was a winter clean up in that store and I had the last copy. They didn't sell a lot of copies at 1.95€.

There is an old, worn, lonely, neglected Vendetta Box at the mall EB Games here. Unfortuantely (or prehaps fortunately) the proprietors of the store have kept the little-known package at its original 10$ pricetag. I suppose if I wan't a no-hassle month of gameplay I certainly *could* go buy it, but then noone else would be able to read about our beloved Vendetta.

Holy Crap. 1.95 Euros. About US$2.35. And someone found it for US$1.95. Sad.
I won't stop playing (or paying) though...

@visitor: I'm pretty sure the retail VO started at $30. Interesting... the same exact situation at the EB Games near me. One rather abused looking copy on a shelf under a bunch of other games that never went big. Personally, given the nature of the game, there seems to be little need for a retail version. Maybe when Guild hits the big time...
