When a convoy is completely launched, it takes inventory of the top speeds of each ship (both turbo and cruise), and never exceeds the top speed of the slowest ship, thus keeping the convoy together.

If a ship dies, it reevaluates, and if the convoy can speed up, it does.

Of course, full formation flying would be infinitely preferable, but I think that's gonna take some work yet.

Tried to take either the pirate missions or the escort missions and neither one worked. The convoy never spawned. This was Tuesday night, 12/20.

Last night i signed up for a convoy mission and as i left the station 2 warthog territorial defenders pulled up along side me and followed me everywhere i went including jumps

I tried the aquisition mission and a squadron of corvus vultures and TD hogs became my squadron and they began to tear up a Xang XI convoy leaving me to reap the benefits of the spoils! mind you it was a bizarre fluke that they actually did what they were supposed that 1 time out of 100! but it was still awesome

while it may always look broken I promise everyone, user to user, cool sh*t is happening!
