Trading
Now I understand the basics of the game. CTF, DM and Trading. What has attracted me to this game when I heard about it was the trading aspect and RP that could go with it.
I have encountered people who do not want to do anything but kill other players. Yes this is in the game and I can accept it even if I do not like it. Sad thing is from the boards and being in there I find a class of people who intentionally search out newer players to do this too.
As a thought from someone who understands and appreciates REAL ROLE PLAYING that is not found on most "MMORPG" I would wonder if a "Merchant Guild" could be started or created. I realize this is more of a suggestion but heck it is also more of a general comment and possibly a RP situation.

Uh... Yeah I guess the trading aspect of the game is pretty cool in the game, but trust me, trading by yourself is just about the most boring thing there is to do in the game (besides just sitting there of course). And I don't know too many Vendetta players who "do not want to do anything but kill other players." All Vendetta players do it on occasion, but theres really almost no danger to traders right now. I've flown around all of creation for up to 3 hours without anybody ever attacking me before. Oh, and didn't Osama already start a 'merchant' guild? Why create another one?
The "merchant guild" has already been started its called the TFV (Trading Fedaration of Vendetta). go to

for more information.
I created the Fedaration and the website e-mail me at kalvinrulz@netscape.net

Well, you have to understand that 8 months ago this was nothing but a deathmatch game. The RP aspect of the game is only beginning to be touched upon.
for blue members there is a nation trading guild, just ask roguelazer or romiQ if you want to know more :D
cheers

Plus, I might add, the economy in Vendetta has infinite inertia right now. In other words, there's no financial risk to trading, because prices will always be the same. So for the moment, the risk incurred in trading has more to do with getting to your destination alive than buying low/selling high in a volatile market.
Vendetta Test obviously can't be fairly classified as an MMORPG yet. In the future, the universe will be bigger and the barriers between members of opposing nations will be stronger, so trading within your own nation's domain should be relatively safe apart from protective NPCs and apart from market conditions, which will not continue to be totally static.

Will there be some sort of 'trade computer' to help newbies get up to speed and even for experienced traders to get the best profits?
That would be highly beneficial... Even if it weren't 100% accurate. ;)

Ah good! I was hoping trading prices wouldn't be static for long.
The fact that there are trading corridoors that everyone uses for the the most profitable routes is a bit boring. Many people don't venture from these established routes because there is absolutely no need to, even in such a small universe.
If there were dynamic trade prices then people would be forced to search out the best price depending on supply an demand. If one station were suddenly flooded with one item then the price would drop and youd either sell for a loss or seek out another place where that item is a rare commodity.
Benefits:
Keeps the pirates from camping the best routes because they will always be changing
Makes people work a bit harder to get their $
More immersive game for longer interest for players

This game was supposed to be quake in space with the capture the flag feature along with all nations are at war each other too, so players do nothing but kill other players.
Tilt152:
Uhh, hello?! Mc Fly?!
The best way to gain capital in a self-sufficient way is by trading.
Also, you are out of place dictating what this game was supposed to be. Last I knew that was the devs' job... We just try to break it and report our findings. Having a thus far playable game is a benefit, not a right.
If you're looking for 'Quake in space' check out parsec.org; it's recently Open Sourced.

Tilt152, sorry to tell you but this is a MMORPG NOT Quake in space. CTF IS a temporary thing AND will be going away! In the final game , CTF WILL NOT EXIST!
