If I were to host a dedicated Voice-chat channel, who here would use it? If enough people are interested my roommate can put one up.

What program do you plan on using? /me recommends TeamSpeak, it now has clients available on all 3 platforms (Windows, Mac, & Linux).

if you are to use teamspeak, you must must must use the speex codec, its the only one that will work with the mac client.

i think it would be cooler than typing all the time.

teamspeak is my vote though, i hate ventrillo and teamspeak has much more customisability(sp?) than vent as far as moderator priveledges go.

Hello everyone, my name is Assassin's Blade and I'm the one that owns the server for the voice. It is a dedicated server on a dsl line and has the capacity to run teamspeak or another such program. I first would like to see more people wanting voice. I would also like to see the developers take a minute and look at this thread and give their opinions. Once I feel enough people have conveyed an interest in this I will look into it further.

Hi, this all sounds fine to me? It's a user-created function, it's not something we'll be directly supporting, but we did make sure the game would work with third-party chatting software for exactly this purpose. Dedicated chat servers have sprung up periodically for some years.. we have in the past and will continue to applaud this sort of user-supported functionality.
